Fortune Blog Piece Makes Most Interesting Point at End

At the end of a well-written, lengthy piece heralding blogging as a major 2005 tech trend, FORTUNE's Oliver Ryan left perhaps the most intriguing issue to the end of the article. Yes, blogging opens the lines of communication more than ever - and it also opens a Pandora's Box.

Ironically, it was blog software Movable Type creator Six Apart's CEO Barak Berkowitz who made the point. Unhappy Movable Type customers had blasted the company in a blog...

"When everybody has a tool for talking to the rest of the world, you can't hide from your mistakes," he told FORTUNE. "You have to face them. Once you commit to an open dialogue, you can't stop. And it's painful."
